FAQs & Policies

  • CHECK-IN (3PM)

We recommend arriving before nightfall—our grounds get very dark, and it can be a bit challenging to find your unit after dark.

Our busy cleaning schedules mean we typically can’t accommodate many early check-ins, but if you’re in the area early, let us know and we’ll send you some fun recommendations in town.

Our check-in process is contactless, so go ahead and check right into your cabin or suite upon arrival using the information sent to you by email.

If you need any help, give us a call or send us a message.

    CHECK-OUT (10AM)

Check-out is 10am. Typically, we can’t extend check-out times due to turnover schedules with our cleaners. Give us a call if you have any concerns!

  • Please carefully read our cancellation policy prior to booking. If you have any questions about these policies, please give us a call! To save any misunderstanding, we would be grateful if you can observe the following:

    Refundable (Flexible) Rate Reservations:

    • We will collect a valid credit card at the time the reservation is made

    • Reservations can be cancelled or modified with no penalty or fee up until 72 hours before your check-in (3pm local time at the hotel, 3 days before your check-in date) at which time the reservation will be charged in full to the card on file

    • No modifications or refunds for cancellation will be permitted within 72 hours of your check-in time

    Non-Refundable (Discounted) Rate Reservations:

    • Your credit card will be charged in full for the reservation 24 hours after booking

    • You may modify your dates, cabin or room, and other reservation details for a modified stay of equal or greater value, up until 60 days prior to your arrival date (rate difference to be paid at time of modification), valid at any of our locations, reservations made within 60 days of check-in may not be eligible for modification

    • The reservation is not otherwise eligible for modification or refund

No-shows are charged in full and non-refundable.

To cancel or request a modification to your stay: Please email us your cancellation request at info@snowcatcabins.com or call us at 406-558-4534. We'll confirm your cancellation via email after the reservation has been cancelled.

Travelers Insurance: Life happens, and trips to the mountains can be unpredictable. We highly recommend adding travelers’ insurance to your reservation if you book a non-refundable rate either through a third party booking site (like Expedia or Booking.com) or with Spot Trip Insurance if you are booking with us directly—it’s an easy and affordable way to cover up to 100% reimbursement on all of your trip expenditures for unexpected life events that result in cancellation (like illness, natural disasters, jury duty, job requirements, and more) Check out  https://www.getspot.com/trip-affiliates/field-guide for full terms, conditions, exclusions, and details.

  • In addition to the base rate and cleaning fee, your reservation will include a 14.2% tax paid directly to local and state tax boards.

Reservations with approved dog(s) will also have a pet fee ($20 per dog per night).

  • Our cabins are pet-friendly ($20/dog/night, two dogs max). If you plan to bring your dog, give us a heads-up when you book, and please thoroughly read through and agree to our pet policy.

  • If you’re staying in a cabin or suite with a hot tub, please read through and agree to our hot tub policy upon booking.

  • All of our buildings are smoke-free, including the interiors, porches, and decks.

We tend to discourage smoking elsewhere on the grounds to respect our other guests, but if you would like to smoke, we ask that you keep it discreet, practice common courtesy, and strictly follow leave-no-trace ethics.

Please avoid smoking near other families, neighbors, or kids. The best place is down along the river, away from any other guests or common spaces in the area.

We’re in an extremely fire-prone area, so YOU MUST fully extinguish and dispose of butts and ashes in the dumpster off the main lot, and never let a butt touch the ground.

  • Please view our full terms and policies here.

    • Quiet hours are from 10pm – 8am every day. Please keep all noise (indoor and outdoor) to a minimum.

    • As much as we love camping, unfortunately, our grounds aren’t zoned as a private campground. Please, no tent, RV, or cowboy camping in the parking lot or elsewhere on the grounds. Check out Campendium, iOverlander, Upcamp, Recreation.gov, and Hipcamp (App) for valid camping spots.

    • You must be 21 years of age to book. Non-guests may not book on behalf of someone under 21.

    • Don’t share your door code with anyone not associated with your reservation.

    • We’re a “Leave No Trace” type of place–please respect our grounds, cabins, and surrounding public lands. We’ll charge ya for excess messes, damage, leftover pet waste, biohazard cleanups, and all that good stuff.

    • No recreational firearm, weapon, or firework use allowed on-site.

    • Extra Guests: Unfortunately, we don’t permit extra guests beyond what’s listed in your unit’s capacity max–we draw a hard line to avoid excessive wear and tear and to keep noise levels respectful. We’re happy, however, to book your larger-sized group in multiple coinciding rooms as long as you maintain respect and capacity numbers in each unit, keep noise levels to a minimum, and respectfully share communal spaces with guests outside your party.

    • Any “day guests” or folks not associated with your reservation must be pre-approved.

    • Events: To avoid excessive wear and tear and to keep noise levels respectful, we unfortunately don’t allow events at the property at this time. This includes weddings, photoshoots, reunions, and more. Let us know if you have a special circumstance or need venue recommendations in the area!
