HOT TUB POLICY

To ensure everyone has a safe and relaxing visit, please read through and agree to our hot tub guidelines before your visit (and share them with your group). Happy hot tubbing!

HOT TUB RULES

FOR YOUR SAFETY

  • Strictly follow the bather capacity posted on the sign of your hot tub.

  • Children 5 and under are not permitted in the hot tub. Children 6-12 must have a supervising adult within arm’s reach.

  • Children, pregnant people, elderly people, those with health conditions, or people who use substances or certain medications that cause drowsiness or loss of control should first consult a doctor before using the hot tub.

  • Rinse off fully in the shower (with soap and warm water) and use the toilet.

  • Do not use the hot tub if you have any exposed sub-epidermal tissue, cuts, body or skin infections, diarrhea, or known recognizable contagious diseases.

  • If you or someone else in your group has incontinence, wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic briefs or a swim diaper. Biohazards left in the tub incur an additional cleaning fee.

  • Do not spit or blow your nose in the hot tub.

  • Enter and exit slowly. Be careful not to slip on your way out (our decks can get icy and slippery when wet).

  • No jumping or diving.

  • Do not use the hot tub under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Staying in a spa too long may result in dizziness, fainting, and nausea. Limiting hot tub use to 15 minutes is recommended to avoid heat stroke for most people.

  • Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.

DURING USE:

  • *IMPORTANT: If your water level gets low, let us know immediately. Low water levels cause permanent damage to the pumps/hot tub and often require total replacement.

  • No smoking in the hot tub or on the deck.

  • No pets in the hot tub.

  • No glass, soaps, bath bombs, oils, toys, or other foreign objects in the hot tub. Foreign objects incur an additional cleaning fee.

  • No splashing.

  • Do not sit or lay on the spa covers (they look sturdy, but sturdy they are not).

AFTER YOU’RE DONE:

  • Close the tub when you’re finished and buckle the spa cover shut (they like to fly away during high winds, and rainwater and tree debris turn the water into a gnarly witch’s brew).

  • Turn the jets off. (Some tubs are automated and will run very low-flow jets when the hot tub is reheating).

  • Before you take off, please set the hot tub temperature back to 104°F.

Please use the spa towels for the hot tub.

USE INSTRUCTIONS & TROUBLESHOOTING

Hot tubs can be touchy, so contact us if yours is acting up so we can get it up and running for the rest of your stay. You will find basic use instructions in your cabin guide.

Please let us know immediately if your water levels are low. Low levels result in expensive damage to the pumps.

SERVICE

We service the hot tubs regularly to keep them in good shape, so you may see us stop by to check your tub and balance chemicals. We’ll stay out of your way, but please let us know ahead of time if you have any issues with our team visiting to service or check on the hot tub.

DAMAGE

Maintain the hot tub in a good, clean condition and use the hot tub only in a careful and lawful manner, in accordance with the rules stipulated in this policy and posted by the spa. Failure to abide by these rules will result in additional charges. If a hot tub is improperly used to where it is required that we drain, clean, and refill the tub with water, those extra maintenance costs will be charged to the guest.

  • Repairs for misuse of or damage to the tub (low water levels from water displacement, cigarette burns, foreign objects, temperature left too low, etc): Charges are based on the cost of labor, replacement, and any revenue lost for spa closure.

  • Drain and clean from excessive dirtiness: $200

  • Drain and clean from glass, biohazards, or dangerous foreign objects left behind: $750
